Twelve Days of Christmas: Twelfth Day

In Lessons from a Small Town

Santa Kim and her sister Chris, Vanessa  and Jill (1959)

One Christmas I decided that I needed to really get into the spirit and play Santa. I cobbled together the best costume possible with the meager resources at hand. Then I made my sisters play along as I handed out well-worn toys. My siblings were supposed to pretend Santa brought them. I think it was a big success.

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas my true love gave to me ,

twelve smiling Santas,

just of few of my many Santa’s

eleven guests for dinner,

2017 Holiday table

ten fancy crackers,

nine candy cans,

miniature candy canes

eight Christmas angels,

seven pickle liqueurs,

six cookie cutters,

three generations of cookie cutters

five… Christ…mas cards,

four vintage snowmen,

Well Christmas is finally within site.

A very Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Kim
