The Daily Shell: Number Thirty-three

“Mimi, I want to go parasailing with you. I think Max does too.” I embraced this leap of faith request from my seven-year-old granddaughter. She knew how much I enjoyed the summertime activity. Charlotte, her nine-year-old brother Max, their parents and I  boarded the speedboat that would tow the parachute high over the Atlantic Ocean.  The children’s eyes opened wide in anticipation. They tugged on their life preservers. Soon they would be up in the air and experience for the first time the magic of parasailing.
