DKG PA State Convention

I will be the keynote speaker at the DKG PA State Convention on Thursday June 22, 2023 in Lancaster, PA.

DKG Society International Organizational History:

According to its website, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International was founded in Austin, Texas in 1929. It is an educational, honor, professional organization for women educators. The name combines the initial letters of three Greek words: Delta- teacher Kappa- key Gamma- women.

In their mission statement, DKG Society International promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. Its vision is that of leading women educators impacting education worldwide.

DKG PA State Keynote Presentation:

Thanks to the invitation from the DKG PA President, Eileen Little, I will be presenting the keynote address titled, You Are You And I Am Me. It is based on my second children’s book, Henri to the Rescue.

Education is the key to understanding and diversity promotes understanding. Even a little hermit crab named Henri understood this when he encountered a green sea turtle. Henri and Simon figured out how to turn their differences into their strengths in a challenging situation and became friends through it all.

In addition to the keynote speech, I will be conducting a morning workshop titled, Coping with Grief and Learning to Live Again, based on my first book  Listen for the Whispers: Coping with Grief and Learning to Live Again.

My gratitude goes to President, Eileen Little, for her generous invitation. Eileen and I have known each other since her teaching days as the Gifted Teacher at Centerville Elementary School in Lancaster, PA. I enjoyed coming into her classroom to present mini-Spanish lessons.

I look forward to the conference at the Wyndham Resort and Convention Center in Lancaster, PA. on Thursday June 22, 2023. It is an honor to combine my skills as a teacher, author, and inspirational speaker to address this prestigious organization.
