The Daily Shell: Number Twenty-nine
There is a reason why my footprints dwell behind me on my morning walks. They tag where I have tread. Ahead of me, the damp sand is vast and untouched. The coastline represents the potential of my life journey. Sometimes my stride is wide. Sometimes it is narrow. Nevertheless, I always move forward. Perhaps it might be easier to turn around and fit my bare feet safely into their fresh imprints, but I would only retrace my past and not experience my future.
