The Daily Shell: Number Twenty-eight
I picked up the surviving sliver and asked, “Where are the other pieces?”
I was once broken too. Loss separated me from the life I had with another. I turned inward. There, a little girl who loved to laugh and play re-introduced herself to me. I held her hand.
“Come along little piece of shell and join us. There are many miles of shoreline to enjoy and abundant mornings to play in the sand,” I said as I continued my morning walk.
