Thanksgiving Glad Game: Day #5
I am glad I found my writer’s voice.
When I was a little girl , I enjoyed listening to stories. But I was not old enough to appreciate the author’s literary skills.
In high school when my English teacher instructed us to complete an in-class composition, I froze. Nothing was in my head.
Twenty five years ago when tragedy landed on my doorstep, I was forced to use my big girl voice. After the untimely death of my husband, I started to collect my scattered thoughts in a journal. Those heartfelt words turned into my first book Listen for the Whispers: Coping with Grief & Learning to Live Again. Heartache unlocked my creativity and introduced me to the world of a published author.
I am glad I am a writer.
