Thanksgiving Glad Game : Day #7
I am glad I have a Thanksgiving Tree.
Not everyone has a Thanksgiving Tree. And the only reason I have one is because frankly I am too lazy to take down our huge artificial Christmas tree. The three parts of my fake conifer are difficult to unhinge and hooking all of the cords properly together takes a degree in electrical engineering, to which I do not have.
So, I convinced my husband to leave it up year-round and enjoy the many phases of the tree. My friends and family encourage me to continue my antics and look forward to a new seasonal tree.
This nine-foot tree is magical. It has been an Easter Tree, a Halloween Tree, a Thanksgiving Tree, a Fourth of July Tree, a Valentine Tree and even once a St Patrick’s Day Tree. But of course its shining moment is when the tree takes on its original glow as a Christmas Tree.
But for now, my Thanksgiving Tree delights the grandchildren with its feathers, gourds and fall flowers and makes me giggle when I walk past it.
I am glad I have been able to share the Thanksgiving Glad Game with all of you. I hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving full of love and positive thoughts.
